Alexis wanted a wedding logo that would encompass her wedding and everything it was about. When asked what it was supposed to be about the answer was fun, candy, cupcakes, family, and good times. The wedding colors were pink, black, and white so those were taken into consideration and the last thing was to include the groom in someway after all he was a part of the wedding too. I opted for the groom’s love for puzzles as how to incorporate something of the groom into the logo.
Getting the candy part figured out was probably the easiest part of the logo as I opted for a simple flat colored spiral lolly pop. This was to give it a nice base background as well as help focus on the logo within the circle.
After finding a font that Alexis liked I tweaked it to support the ambigram which was how I would incorporate the love for puzzles into the logo. I went with the first initials of their first name and the married last name because it would be easy to make an R out of the lower case a and vise versa. I had the H in the middle because it served as the ends and beginning to the a and R respectively and also was a metaphor for the two names becoming joined by one last name, or in this case the first initial of the last name.
